I was hoping for some rain, but they are saying we might only get 1/2 inch or less.

Alexy We had a lot of rain bands coming through and buckets of rain over night in Frisco, but it seems like it may be clearing some. Maybe a couple more bands of it. Might try and check out the beach. ETA: Churned up mightily from Chantal! Wind feels great and not hot.

As recently as yesterday, the forecast for Kitty Hawk today was for a rainy day. So far it hasn’t rained much at all, and this is what the radar looks like now and pretty much what it has looked like all day. All of the precip in the picture is moving north.

Kings Point in Brigands Bay with all of the puddles. Winds are very high so much so that it took me three tries to close that HEAVY truck door on the beach, but no more rain yet. A gust came up that almost pushed me off of the tailgate. But, no complaining here. I'll take the clouds and wind over hot sun any day.

He really was walking sideways down the beach to get away from me and them. They stole his rind.....a feast! Excuse my punchiness....our guests rise at 4 am daily and I am not used to that. So, I get up and make coffee and tea since I'm the hostess if they haven't gone to Buxton beach to take pics... It's no worse though than what I usually post.....lol

We finally got some rain .05 inches. No wind to speak of. You would never know there was a weather issue near us in Kitty Hawk.

I think most of the rain was west of you guys. I drove from VA near the mouth of the Rappahannock yesterday back to southern Wake county and hit patches of torrential downpour. Once I arrived home it rained heavily for brief intervals, but the weather folks were showing scenes south and west of me that were getting absolutely hammered and they had at least one tornado.

I'm OTA now that YTTV raised to $83. When I last tuned in the weather folks were pretty excited about the happenings out towards Pittsboro all through that area.

That's terrible for that area. My son lived and worked in Mebane post college. It's a sweet little town. Hope everyone fares well.

Click to follow link... Crummy for them! I spoke to my son this morning about this, and he has two good buddies in Mebane that are being effected by this. One of them is a Team Mully 2 member at the OBX. I cannot watch the news about Texas....it is just too heart wrenching what those parents are going through. I would have to be put into a rubber room. Prayers to them and God help them get through this.

I know, Bent. We just had our 2 precious granddaughters for a couple of days. Aged 7 and 10. All I could think about was all those sweet girls in Texas and their families.
