RE: Christmas Decorating

Pretty, Lolly! Love the freshly cut tree smell!!
Sweet teenaged boys are sooo sweet! Please send final shot when you're done.

A lot of Christmas tree farms right up the road here. Seeing cars cruising down with trees tied down on their cars. Cool to see every year.

RE: Christmas Decorating

The following are some of my favorite ornaments on the tree. Always put something on it from the beach. Most of my things are hand me downs from older family members and pieces I have picked up out of town through the years....

Picked up in Manteo!

Cool seahorse handmade clay piece...

1902 antique piece from family...

And the back of it with old yellowed tape...

RE: Christmas Decorating

And of course, the Frisco one!

RE: Christmas Decorating

Wow! Great ornaments. Especially love the 1902 ornament. Is that a family heirloom?

I have old glass ones and some of my favorite came from the Christmas Shop in Manteo. I loved shopping there especially when Ed Greene the original owner was there.

I’ll post when I get them out.

RE: Christmas Decorating

Thanks! Family heirloom from my mother in law. She was born in 1917 and had a lot of old/antique stuff she gave me some of which I have in the Frisco house. We were very close. She lived to be 101. To me, the old stuff is the best!

Ooh! I'd love to see your glass ones from Manteo. Can't wait to see your finished tree!!

Ummm... No.

BF inspired me on the Christmas music. Listening to my favorite holiday music tonight decorating one of the THREE Christmas trees at the Frisco cottage with my 85 year old sis in law. We both love to do this.

Heard this group in the late 90's and was hooked. Saw them in concert twice. The last part of this particular song reminds me of the "zzsh" sound on the shore when a wave runs over the shells and the wind begins.

These people finished decorating fast!

Phase 1 complete. Tomorrow it's balls to the tree.

"Pre-Lit" artificial that we got ??? years ago when $50-$75 for a tree that size just got to be too much. Prior to that I was one of those that always poo-poo'd artificial trees.

After last year there were just too many sections of lights that didn't work, so I replaced them. All 1200 of them. With removing the old lights, saving the little plastic clips, and attaching the new lights with the little plastic clips it took about two weeks. Could only do so much per day before the fingers said STOP!

Gorgeous, Stumpy! Pre lit are for the birds. Same here with lights going out! You have saved SO much money and a tree like yours would be at least $600.00 now. Nice elbow grease and please send when ornaments are on. Lov-er-ly!!!!!
