Royal Farms in KH!

RE: Royal Farms in KH!

Wawa is not about the gasoline. Never was. Wawa's about what's going on inside.

Clean bathrooms. decent coffee cheap. Good food at reasonable prices. Most of all is the atmosphere. The positivity. People working there are cheerful. Polite. With the customers it's the same way when you walk in. Like they're all happy to be there. Especially early mornings before work.

Royal Farms? Dreadful. You need a Scott Air Pak to go in the bathrooms. Filthy. Cruddy. The store themselves? Not the same. Even though the clerks are generally nice.

Sheetz? Nice stores. Nice people. Nice stores. Still not in the same league as Wawa.

Gas stations. If you have high expectations, prepare yourself for disappointment. They have always been filthy. And food? Yuk, I wouldn't let my dog eat any of it.

I agree with you. There are no Wawas where I live, but have frequented the WaWa in Chesapeake and it has always been fine on the drive to the OBX. Ya kinda learn which convenience/gas stores are "hands off" so to speak, and I have never had any "gross" feelings about that one and I am OCD about things of that nature.

C'mon Greg. Ya gotta keep your immune system in shape. At least some gas station coffee once in a while.

All the new 7-Elevens around here have their "Raise the Roost" in-house brand fried chicken & biscuits. Walk in and you smell like fried chicken until you take a shower and warsh the cloz you had on.

Very funny, Stumpy! My immune system stays tuned up, we drink from a well. Big grin

Kinda feel like you're in the torn down KFC in Mebane. Been there, done that!

Hahahaha!

The Wawa's in Hampton Roads used to all be clean and the food service was quick. A lot of them have lost that luster now, Battlefield being one that has not. I believe the owners know that cleanliness and speed keep customers stopping on the way down.

100% with you about RF. Just a dirty, greasy feel to them. There is one across the street from my office that I won't even go into anymore. One step in and you come out smelling like fried food.

Sheetz is the temu of Wawa with friers.
