Outer Banks lost a legend

The Outer Banks lost a legend yesterday.

My good friend of 24 years - Joe Lamb - passed away yesterday. He was in his early 90's and had a stroke on New Years eve. Broken heart

Someone once told me that he had the oldest active real estate license in the state.

R.I.P. Joe.....met him once many moons ago.....always liked that little blue roadster he had. Yes, a legend and a pioneer.

He sold both my dad and uncle property in 1970 and again in 1994.
He didn't do the deal in 1994 but came to the closing because he remembered my dad's name. Dad always spoke highly of him

That is right, since 1957 ( I was 5). His license number is 1762 (mine has 6 digits). I went to his house for a meeting days before Christmas.

Although we have had great service from a couple of rental agencies we always considered Joe Lamb Jr. the best. Hopefully the legacy will continue.
