Logged on this am and received "your vacation is in nine days". It's about freakin time, last October feels like a year ago! So...... if you see this Acura TL the week of the 20th on HI, give us a big ol' fins up!

same goes for this 4 runner... you will probably see it at food lion, dolphin den, hodads, froggy dog (for breakfast) ocracoke, and on the beach .... 10 days to go, we have already started to "stage" our close, and gear in the spare bedroom... i have already started checking out the 15 day forcast.... looks acceptable so far 74-77 and sunny...wouldn't mind it spiking up a few degrees, but if it is a non windy 74 or so i would love that... still too early though, it may change.. i will start checking wavy.com and the other va and nc tv stations forcast soon.. now time to check on that water temp.....it is already pretty good and with that storm down south maybe that will push the water up and in... http://wwwa.accuweather.c...

That's awesome guys! I still have 127 days and I cannot wait until we're in single digits. Have a few cold ones for me. This post gives me an idea though....we should all post pix of our vehicles and the plates and stickers we've accumulated. Show some OBX love!!

Thats awesome Phnz!!! We are down to 16 days, this month is actually moving by pretty fast so far . Have a few cold ones for me when your down there and I'll do the same ! The weather looks to be shaping up nicely.

LUCKY LUCKY YOU!!! I am down to 86 days now . To be honest it has gone fast. Seems I was reading 186 days to go yesterday. Time flies.

Some of us will be at the "Dog" for breakfast the morning of the 20th before heading down to the "Food Kitty" to stock up the house for the week. I'll keep an eye out for your 4 Runner during the week Lance and have a great vacation!

We're finally at 9 days for our 2 week stay in Avon! Don't have a picture to share, but if you see an XTERRA with Virginia plates that read "BCHLVRS", give us a wave or a honk.

I know waht you mean Colleen....we're down to 37 days! I ca hardly believe it! I'm so crazy busy with the rest of my life right now that I know these days are going to fly! Just hope our time down there crawls at a snails pace!!!! We are packing so light this year. My Friend Karen, who is going with us says her packing list reads as follows...3 pr shorts, 3 t shirts, bathing suite, 1 pr jeans, case of Corona's and limes! I say okay to that. Safe travels to all and beautiful weather...just make sure you save some of that beautiful weather for the rest of us!

Lance, don't go to the Froggy Dog even for breakfast! We were there last week..thought we would stop to get breakfast before leaving...They were so slow people were leaving befor getting their food. The dinning room was full but noone was eating. We were waiting in line and one waitress came out of the dinning room yelling where everyone could hear her and said, a dam* 60 buck ticket and a dam* 3 dollar tip. I know the tip didnt fit the bill but she ranted the whole time we were there...which was a long time. We were in there over an hr. I wanted to leave but my husband keep saying it can't be much longer.lol Never again will we stop there.

we usually go to DS in Buxton for breakfast.. when we got up and went there it was so full we couldn't get a parking place. I think the buffet, on the weekends, has really helped their business. We did eat there on Sat. plus they have a new entrance with more in their gift shop.. Great food and nice folks 22 more days for us..

yeah i know the service is up and down, i know it is hard to get good help, and enough.... i know i won't go there, or just about anywhere on leaving day, i would imagine they may be busy... i wish i was there, i would have made up the difference for that waitress and the TERRIBLE tip... even slow service deserves a reasonable tip, and if you can't spare an extra 10 bucks on a 60 dollar tab maybe you shouldn't go out to eat...( then again maybe, just maybe they did have a very, very bad dining expierience).... i think we will take our chances.... hodads and dolphin den are always solid... and the blue parrot is a favorite, but i heard it "was" going to close, i hope they stayed even after the owners accident...

Hey, like the "3" poster in your garage and of course the car. My husband has Sr and well as Jr posters in his garage. He has been looking at new corvettes, so hopefully he will also have that in the garage soon! Guess you heard that Jr today announced that he is leaving DEI at the end of the year. Earnhardt Fan also!

I'm down to "the" single digit, "ONE" Heading out tomorrow and driving straight through. Other family members left today. I got stuck having to put a half day in at work. Wasn't leaving until tomorrow anyway. Note the OBXconnection sticker in the window!
