Average NC gallon of gas price on 11/3/2020: $1.96Enjoy it while you can. Didn't find historical data for NC only, but nationally:12/07/15 2.05312/07/20 2.156 What point are you trying to make?
The point is that you just voted for more expensive gas for all of us on 11/3. Thanks alot.
The point is that you just voted for more expensive gas for all of us on 11/3. Thanks alot. How so? I just posted that gas was cheaper on 12/7/2015. Why do you think it's going to change now?Back on topic, Tillis, who asked Trump to include NC in the moratorium, is a Republican. Gas prices are influenced by a whole lot more things than who's in office.

They’re going to be even worse under O’Biden/Harris, and you voted for it.

You memory is faulty. Or your source. Probably both.
You memory is faulty. Or your source. Probably both.Your graph cuts off at 2009 and looks like it's averaging per year. Try this one.
Wow, that's remarkable, has averaged $1.00 a gallon MORE during the Obama years ('09-'16) (give or take a dime). It's remarkable too that our energy independence developed over the last four years of the Trump Presidency provided low prices and national security. Without offshore drilling expansion. Which Trump (and Tillis) recognized to be unnecessary due to our abundant resources and an efficient industry free from overbearing and unnecessary regulations (and excessive Corporate Taxation).

Do Obama's first 4 years next). I love how you completely ignored that peak during the Bush years and also failed to mention the big downward trend after 2014 and into the Trump years where it went back up. Numbers are fun!As to your reasoning, nah, that's just rah rah talk. Non of it is based in any kind of facts. You don't find it even a little strange how Florida (hmmm, who owns property there?) was the only east coast exemption until (checks dates again) right before a primary election. But yeah, go ahead and think what you want. NC wins and that's all that really matters.
Somebody doesn't understand graphing TRENDS. Maybe that's why he voted for higher energy prices across the board.
Somebody doesn't understand graphing TRENDS. Maybe that's why he voted for higher energy prices across the board. Hahaha. You talk about not understanding graphing TRENDS (hey I can capitalize also!) and then clearly show a upward TREND during the Bush years, while also showing a downward TREND during Obama's last 4 years. I also love how your lines stop early for the Bush years (no part of that peak was during Obama). You also stopped early for Obama and gave Trump credit for the low period. But yeah, I get it, Trump has been riding on Obama's coat tails for most of his Presidency. All the numbers are in the link I provided. Try again. Oh, and one last time, what does any of this have to do with Offshore drilling in NC???
Add averages of trends to the list this one doesn't understand.
Energy prices are known to "necessarily skyrocket" by design under the party you voted for on 11/3. No reason to doubt they won't continue that trend.

Also according to your own graph, Obama had a lower "average" in 2016 than Trump had through all his years (well, 2 of them on your graph). Also, according to your graph, Obama's last 3 years average lower than Trumps first 2. Numbers are fun!
So when did gas prices go down??? When people stopped driving. It is simple supply and demand. Remember when people posted "Don't buy gas next Tuesday, that will show the gas companies." See there is truth to that, just takes much more than a day. So why did people stop driving??? Because Covid forced people to stay home and not drive. So Trump had nothing to do with the reduction in gas prices. If you want to credit someone for reduced gas prices, credit the virus.

Gas prices hit their lowest point about a month after inauguration day in 2016, which was 3 years BEFORE covid. It's almost like you lefties are allergic to the truth or something.
Also you know NOTHING about me. So labeling me, or anybody else from just one post is a remarkable talent.
Wow Butter Ball, interesting chart. Thanks for it. So reading your factual chart, before Trump gets into office the price of gas is going down for 2 years, trump gets into office and he manages to reverse it and have it go up until Covid hits. Thanks for pointing that out. Also you know NOTHING about me. So labeling me, or anybody else from just one post is a remarkable talent. As much as I enjoy low gas prices, as OceanBlue mentioned, low gas prices are not good for the economy.
