Bonner Bridge groundbreaking

The Governor, the Transportation Division, NCDOT, the Dare county Board, but most importantly, our Bridge Moms and real citizen works have succeeded in getting the new bridge into construction over the obstructionists. A fine day on the Inlet. Banana

The bridge might last a 100 years but the north end of HI will not be there. It is a shame the future logistics of modern barrier island geology were largely ignored. This will be the last bridge ever built across OI.

You should see how an amazing breakwater can be made with about 10,000 cubic yards of granite surge....Now that there will be infrastructure to protect, it will be worth fortifying the shifting sands of north Hatteras Island.

RE: Bonner Bridge groundbreaking

100 years ago they said Holland would not be here today! My Dutch friends are happy they were clueless.

RE: Bonner Bridge groundbreaking

Very glad to see this. What a foolish waste of time the lawsuit was.....
