Extended water issues S of Buxton

I know I am beating a dead horse here, but still not understanding why the NPS could not adjust the water levels South of Buxton heading towards the point and over towards Frisco as is done in other areas. Actually in any part covered by the NPS. Has any resolve occurred?

yes this week we have over 2000 white pelicans at Goose Pond FWA IN.

I know this is not on Hatteras Island not even part of the NPS; it is Indiana and it is FWS, Goose Pond FWA. It is wet lands and they alter the levels of the water to keep from having to much or too little or to adjust to what birds are migrating through. To me I cannot understand, why all that area would not be kept at levels that would protect the natural wet lands and not damage it and other areas not used to being under water for extended periods. I am hopeful that the water issues south of Buxton have resolved by now and no extensive damage has been done to this beautiful area.

The good news is that we have an NPS Superintendent that is working it.
