Nice photos Jimmy. What power lens did you use or were you able to get that close? I had an 18-200mm lens. The deer on the OBX have not been hunted so they are fairly tame. I was able to get within 10 feet of them.

Deer in the back yard. It's been a very mild winter for them so far.

Some of our bulbs are already up and flowering. We got a freeze last night though, so it stunned them.

These haven't opened yet, so they'll probably do a little better unless it gets cold again.

I laughed at this puffed up little wren on the deck rail. Reminds me of those "angry bluebird" shots that are used on so many calendars and prints.

Camellias from a bush in the yard. I always marvel at their perfection.

This is on Staten Island part of NYC. When I was young there were no deer on the Island. Now they are everywhere. Took this pic this morning.

we had at least a dozen snow geese in the empty field behind our local Food Lion recently. A VERY raucous bunch!

A poor shot of a tiny beauty drinking at the bird bath this AM. A new one for my life list although, according to the guide, they aren't rare in this area. A brown headed nuthatch if my identification is correct.
