My wife and I scheduled a vacation anthe first week in January to go to the Outer Banks in May but due to the Coronavirus outbreak she had to cancel her vacation from work to keep up with things at work. We both have called the rental place, First Flight Rentals, to ask them what we have to do to get our deposit back and they tell her that "we don't have it here yet so our cancellation policy applies. You will lose your deposit and have to pay in full if the condo is not rented on your date!" My wife told them she was an epidemiologist and that is not going to work. All they could say was "that is our policy and if you want to reschedule and we don't rent it out the same rule applies." So, if anyone out there is ever going to Kill Devil Hills, stay away from this sham of a company that doesn't care about our first responders or medical professionals even during a pandemic with stay at home orders in their own county. Again, that is First Flight Rentals in Kill Devil Hills, NC. These people are getting stimulus from the tax payers and still charging full amounts to cancel, even for nurses that have obligations during this time. Very unethical!
We received a "Balance Due" notice from them. Pretty much we have to pay for our entire vacation and not take it regardless of rescheduling or not because we don't have travel insurance with them and their companyis not covering this anyway. This company is a sham and a JOKE for real. Way to have our nurses backs First Flight Rentals!
