We rented vacation homes from resort quest twice....1st time no problems, but our second time ( in a more expensive home) had several things that needed attention. Hot tub did not work, and top was broken in pieces that were scattered around the deck. Decks were very dirty, and there were old quilts laying in the corner. A new cooktop was laying against wall in dining room in the way. We could not get anyone to take care of problems while we were there, and received no response to two emails sent after we returned home. Will never use Resort Quest again!

This was the 2nd year we rented through Resortquest, and we found them to be very good both times...The homes were very clean and well appointed, as stated in their brochure and website. They also give you a welcome bag filled with some necessites (TP, Paper towels). I look forward to renting from them again!!

Resort Quest was a great company to deal with, my family came for a mini vacation in March and found the staff to be very delightful at check in and the home to be greater than we expected. I will use Resort Quest for my next vacatons for years to come.

Resort Quest has some of the dirtiest houses we've been in and really unhelpful staff. Too bad because wehn they were B&B on the Beach, they were great. B&B on the Beach management has moved to Brindley Beach and that's where I am going too.

OBX is wonderful, but the house we recently stayed at managed by Resort Quest was not. We have been going to OBX for a number of years and this was by far the worst experience with a house. The house did not live up to it's "gold" rating. Though the Resort Quest folks did come out to try to fix a few of the more serious issues, the house was very poorly maintained. The pool leaked, the hot tub did not work, the carpets were disgusting, the walls needed painting and there was broken furniture in many of the rooms. Repeated calls to Resort quest yeilded mixed rusults. All in all, the house was not worth the money and we did not get what we expected. We had far better experineces when we rented from Twiddy and Corolla Classic Vacations.

Where to start! I've come to the realization that nice websites and friendly people are pointless with lousy service and home maintenance.

While a maintenance person came out to fix a leaking faucet, it still leaked by the time we left. I was promised (in person) a visit from housekeeping to clean bug guts off the living room wall, but no one showed up even after 3 more phone calls. The floors were dirty, throw rugs disgusting, etc.

I must list the items in the home's description that didn't match reality.

1) views of the ocean and sound that will blow you away!
-->Couldn't see the ocean at all. Sound views were pretty good.

2) screened porch w/picnic table.
-->With rotten cracked wood and tons of cobwebs

3) games
-->Mostly unplayable considering the missing pieces and broken parts.

4) port-a-crib, , high chair, baby gate
-->Anyone using this lousy rusty 60's equipment should be investigated for child endangerment.

5) 2 adult bikes
-->Bikes in name only. They were totally unridable.

6) Barbecue
-->Yuk!!!

7) Dishwasher
-->Almost as useless as the bikes. Rusty and coroded with only about half the metal prongs missing.

"Sigh" oh well, what could have been...

We have been going to the Outer Banks for the last three years and have found Resort Quest homes to be maintained very well. Also whenever we had a problem they were there to fix it right away and were very friendly. Their site is easy to use and very convenient when making a reservation. I will be using them again in the near future.

I took some college girls to OBX last year. The first time any of us had been there. We found Resort Quest online and the site was very helpful. When it came time to check in, the people were prompt and very nice. I would use them again in the future.
