Dissapointed 4/1/2011

My husband and I ate here once for New Years Eve and that was our last visit. We were disappointed with the food, service and anoying customers. Even though I belive in giving a restaurant a 2nd chance, no way! Our friends recently went there with out-of-town executives and were embarrased by the food and service. I don't know how they've been able to survive. I wish I could find something good to say. Enough said!

The atmosphere and service were wonderful, however the food was a major disappointment. "Delicately" fried calamari turned out to be big balls of fried dough in which you could barely discern any calamari. The seafood risotto, which presumably is one of their more popular dishes, contained the most dried out seafood I have been served in quite a while. Given dinner for 2 was about $100 it was definately not worth it. Will not return.

I can't vouch for their food but if you need a cake for a special occasion I highly recommend Argyle's! They did a cake for my wedding in 2008 and I still dream of it, it was outstanding! They were so easy to work with and VERY reasonably priced!

We were hoping for a sing-a-long piano bar. Not quite! The food was very upscale, and although it was tasty, it was a little over the top for us.

This is the best fine dining on the Outer Banks in a romantic and intimate setting. If the two of you are looking for a night out alone, make a reservation and enjoy.

I've visited this restaurant for each of the past 4 years, and have never been disappointed. The preparation and presentation of the dishes is phenomenal, the wait staff is attentive, and the owners are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Add to that a great martini menu and live piano, and you've got an evening you won't soon forget.

It is best to make a reservation here early. It does not hold many people so the restervation is a must if you plan to go. The food and service are exceptional, one chef is a pastry chef and the deserts are some of the best. Pricey but it will be a visit you will remember.

Simply outstanding! Relaxed, romantic atmosphere, superior service, and delicious food. What more can you ask for? Have been there only once, but will definitely repeat. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it for a "special" meal.
