www.coastalprovisionsmarket.com/restaurants/coastal-cantinaCoastal Provisions Deli has now become Coastal Cantina, one of the hottest places in town. We've remodeled our Waterfront Shop location, installing two beautiful Mexican Talavera tile bars to make one of the most inviting, open-air eateries on the Outer Banks. Coastal Cantina features a great Tex Mex menu along with frozen Margaritas and Sangria and a beautiful soundfront view at The Waterfront Shops in Duck (at the southern end of the boardwalk opposite Blue Point Grill).

I had the Mahi Tacos and they were great. Sort of like a small grilled filet in each one. Spicey mayo like sauce was killer. Outside dinning is a plus

Can't beat the view 4/24/2018

My wife and I stopped here while out walking the sound side boardwalk for an early afternoon snack and some drinks. We sat at the picnic tables over looking the sound and we were promptly delivered chips, salsa, and two menus from the waitress/bartender. We placed our order for queso dip and guac and our drinks which were delivered to us quickly. The guac was fresh and the queso dip was amazing! Can't wait to stop in on our next trip!

You Don't Get a Third Chance! 10/26/2017

The first time I tried to get drinks here was during our summer visit in 2015. I could not get any server's attention, couldn't get anyone at the bar's attention, not so much as "I am sorry we are busy, I will get to you in a minute", nothing, so after five minutes I left and got drinks from the candy store next to it. Flash forward a year and we were there during an off time, around 3:30-4 during the summer. There were maybe 10 customers spread out on the deck and at the bar. Four of us sat on the barstools and waited and waited. Again, no one acknowledged we were there. It was bizarre. Finally, when one of the women working began cleaning - clearly she had no one to wait on or prepare food for, I shouted to her asking if they could get us drinks and food. I should have left, but we were hungry for a snack! We ordered drinks, chips and salsa and ceviche. The chips were stale, the salsa was tasteless and the ceviche was the worst I've ever had. The ceviche had just a few pieces in it and those pieces were swimming in the container filled with marinade. No one checked on us, and again, we were sitting at the bar! Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

Queso with a view! 8/29/2016

We recently had a delicious quick lunch at Coastal Cantina in the Waterfront Shops along the Duck boardwalk. Service was friendly and quick, good drink menu and a beautiful view from our shaded picnic table overlooking the Currituck Sound. Their Queso dip, a blend of cheeses with green chili and cilantro with tortilla chips was really creamy and appetizing. The Fish Taco with crispy Wahoo, chili/lime mayo and slaw was delectable. Will definitely go back for more of their soundfront TexMex.

The fish tacos are so good. So is the shrimp quesadilla. Their specials are a great deal. We love this place.

Cantina - Everything and a bit More 2/4/2013

This place is everything you are looking for and a bit more. It has the food, the setting, the drinks and the people. It is everything that anyone could ask for in a happy hour or early evening sunset dinner. Can't wait to go again this year.

You could miss this place as its attached to a gas station, this past year it got a serious makeover and now has live music and a small patio. I had the largest and most delicious lobster tail I've had in my life! It was recently featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. A must go!

Love it! 1/24/2013

We discovered Coastal Cantina last year and fell in love with it. Just a little place so most of the seating is on picnic tables outside. Where else would you want to sit? Eat, watch the sound and the sunset and meet new people. The portions are HUGE, at least of what I have gotten like burritos. Two folks could almost share one. The beef burritos are a bit pricey at like $9 but the flavor is to die for and so so tender. My wife and I split one so the cost isn't really an issue. Try it!
