Great lunch today! 10/8/2012

Hubby & I went to Good Life Gourmet and had a great lunch! Lots too choose from. Hubby had the Black Bean & 3 cheese wrap; besides black beans, it has grilled vegetables. Served warm, the cheese was melted and gooey! Served with potato salad, pico de gallo and sour cream. He says it was excellent & I would agree based on the little bite he shared. I had the salad sampler. Served on a bed of mixed greens, it had the curry chicken salad, choice of pasta salad (I had Italian), fresh fruit salad and roll. It was delicious. Highly recommended for a nice lunch.

Beach Bread vs Good Life 7/28/2012
Reviewer: tc08105
As bad as Beach Bread was the new owners manage to take it down another notch. Big menu with nothing on it. High prices and no service.
We figured we'd give the new owners a shot and came away befuddled. The place seemed like it needed a good cleaning while the people who work there seem a bit disconnected. A kind of weird experience. And now about the food. Billed as a NY style deli, the pastrami Reuben I had was served on a stale rye and the meat was like an afterthought. For what I paid for this I could have had a good sandwich at Barefoot Bernie's or the Black Pelican.
We won't be back.

second try 10/6/2010
Reviewer: can I get a no star!
Don't bother. The place is packed full of stuff and the menu is endless but this is not a good thing. I was so disappointed first visit with my adult son. Second visit today at request of a friend, I tried a chalkboard special thinking maybe that would be more focused. Yuk! My party of three ordered different things and I thought all horrible. Cafeteria at best, at least a cafeteria is a hot meal. Staff totally uninterested. There is no way this restaraunt gets repeat visitors who value food! I will never go again.

A bit of an attitude... 4/16/2008

Nice place, good breads, good coffee, but the staff has a bit of a "holier than thou attitude".

Quality going down hill 6/16/2007

Our family has enjoyed Good Life for numerous visits in the past. It was a favorite. Sandwich quality has diminished, they no longer serve dinner, and they messed up a choc latte twice. Sorry to see this one go down hill.

Nice local place that is out of the way 11/20/2006

Here is a nice place that tourists don't know about. They do a great deli sandwich or a tasty meat loaf with a bottle of nice wine.
