We have eaten here several times over the years, but this year stood out. As always, the food was great as were the views. While not cheap, the prices are decent given the amazing food. Our waitress was outstanding, she was very personable and engaged our children in real conversation. She even told our kids to run thru the restaurant to see the gorgeous sunset. If you want a nice restaurant that is kid friendly, look no further.

Wonderful food, beautiful views, service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the Mahi with tomato mango salsa, red skin taters and broccoli casserole as well as the Kill Devil Platter which is a broiled or fried seafood platter. All meals and desserts were superb!

We've been eating here for years. The restaurant is family friendly. The food is good (the hushpuppies are awesome!), and the views are great.

For the past 2 years, we have started our vacation on Hatteras Island with a lunch at Miller's Waterfront. We had truly wonderful experiences both years. Keep in mind, the restaurant suffered some damage between our visits from Irene. They bounced back nicely and we were very pleased again. Make sure you stroll out back and take in the view of the sound! Good food, quality beer and an overall excellent experience!

After 19 years of coming down to the Outer Banks, this was the first time we ate at Miller's Waterfront Restaurant. Our wait wasn't long and we enjoyed a beverage while waiting. The employees at the bar were very very nice and were able to make a not so popular drink for me. I walked outside while waiting and enjoyed listening to the one and only guitar playing and singing entertainment while waiting. Once we were seated for dinner the waitress was very nice and the food very good, however I was taken back by the amount of loud diners in the restaurant. I'm not sure why, but from the pictures of the restaurant, I expected it to be a quiet restaurant. If you don't mind a loud restaurant, by all means, go to this restaurant...the food is pretty good.

My family & I have been vacationers to the Outer Banks for 18 years. Since we've known about Millers on the Waterfront, we eat there often every vacation. Their hushpuppies are exceptional and so is there service. So what if you run into a bad server once in awhile?? That happens at every restaurant but the owners seem to response well to this to keep their dining enjoyable. I'm now 21 and plan to move to the OBX, my first choice in a job is Millers on the Waterfront.

Sound front dining. Very good, casual, 'family friendly' restaurant. There is a watersports place next door, so you can see people windsurfing, etc while you eat. This place has the absolute best hushpuppies & crab cakes. The vacation guides/coupon books have a 15% off dinner & lunch coupons in them.

Went to Miller's Waterfront for dinner which was excellent (I had the softshell crabs and my wife had the flounder stuffed with crabmeat) then went out to the back deck/pier and enjoyed their live music. All in all a great time.

While on vacation last week we went to Miller's on the water for dinner. The water view was beautiful and everyone enjoyed their dinners. However, we haven't stopped talking about the hushpuppies....they were wonderful. I bought a bag of their mix to bring home. Our waiter was very friendly and took good care of us.

had to wait for a table in APRIL, then we order a sandwich and waiter said we could have gotten that at drive-thru without having to wait for a table!!!! I think the reviews are staged, if you read them, they all say service "attentive" and mention same "grouper sandwich". Can you belive anyone could be so RUDE and have a job!

We happened to catch Miller's Waterfront Restaurant on their opening night for 2007. Although we usually go to RV's, we decided to give Miller's a try and we are so glad we did! The food, atmosphere and service was outstanding. It is now on the top of our list of Outer Banks favorites and we will be back as soon as we can.

we have been visiting the Outer Banks for a number of years now. staying in Nags Head, we have never been to Millers on the water. what a mistake we have been missing out. Great spot for the Whole family very friendly and most attentive staff we have ever seen. went for dinner and enjoyed the beach music on the pier and came back for lunch for the Grouper sandwich. great spot!!

Went to Miller's Waterfront with the whole family...total of 14 with kids ranging from infant to 16. This restaurant was not only their favorite but the adults favorite too! The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive and the food was the best we had all week. After going for dinner, we returned later in the week for lunch which was just as fantastic. The House Fish Sandwich was the best fish sandwich I've ever had. This will definitely be a restaurant we visit again next year!

eat at millers the other night and we were pleasntly surprised.. this out of the way establishment served the best food we had during the whole stay here on the beach. and the view was unbelievable. our favorites were the Hushpuppies of course and Sunset grouper special we will definatly be back

Though we are known to stick with just a few of our 'regular' restaraunts, we decided to branch out and go to Miller's Waterfront. The food was outstanding (ESPECIALLY the free hush puppy appetizers!) and the location is AWESOME! The only downfall was that we had an hour wait at 8pm but we went on a Friday when most were having their 'last dinner out' and we couldn't complain about the wait because the dock and gazebo out over the sound at sunset is NOT a bad place to be! The Kitty Hawk Kites kite-surfing school is just next door and AWESOME to watch. The waitress we had was a bit hard to understand but we can't hold them at fault for that- you get that just about anywhere on the Outer Banks! We would definitely return to Miller's!

Try to eat breakfast several times there each time we visit and always have our first seafood there the day we arrive on th OBX. Have always been pleased. Breakfast is always great and the view is beautiful. Never disappointed any time we have eaten there.

Somehow I expected more from what I'd heard from others dining experience there.

The view of the sound was wonderful, the atmosphere very cozy & inviting, service was prompt & efficient.

But ... it really wasn't a memorable meal. Two of us had the seafood bisque - we both found it rather bland & somewhat tepid.

I had the stuffed flounder - very dry & not terribly flavorful.

The hushpuppies were excellent, however, as were the salad dressings.

The general concensus of our group of 5 was "ehhh ... not all that great."

We went to Miller's for our last night's dinner in Nags Head & after some of the other places that we ate, we decided we probably wouldn't return for a dinner there again.

I might go back & try their breakfast on my next visit, though. If nothing else, for the view.
