This is a great place, with great romantic atmosphere that serves great food and drink expertly. It is not cheap, but neither is it expensive when compared to other upscale restaurants.

It's the perfect place for a special couples night out.

Review is based on the drinks we had as my friend and I went here for one of our nights out for some drinks. Loved the martinis and the entertainment. Great staff that made martinis that were not listed on the standard menu. Definitely want to go back and try the food as well next time I am down.

This is a great place to eat quality food and drink a nice size and tasty martini. The new owners are incredible and the atmosphere is classy yet casual. My family and friends have eaten here numerous times and have never had a bad experience. The filets are the best on the beach and the drinks are superb!!! Prime is no more expensive than JK's, Owen's Restaurant or any other upscale restaurant on the Outer Banks. Highly recommend this place and it feels good to know you are supporting a local family as opposed to a chain.

My husband and I go to Prime Only almost once a week for our "date night." We sit at the bar, have a few drinks and apps, sometimes dinner, and we are NEVER dissappointed. The steak is AMAZING and you can cut it with a butter knife! Fresh veggies, HUGE potatoes, amazing seafood specials & salads. Looking for a Martini? This is the place! The folks are Prime Only are top-notch... professional and still really fun to be around. Need or want something special? They always accomodate. They also have a private banquet room that can seat up to 12 comfortably. C'mon out and see what the fuss is all about!

If you like steak or seafood, a nice upscale atmosphere, and a friendly, helpful staff, this is THE place to go.

Great drinks, super food. Compares to Ruth's Chris or Morton's.

By the way, the potatoes are NOT $7!

I have been to Prime Only many times and do not find it more expensive than any of the other upscale restaurants on the beach. One can dine very well with appetizers and drinks for under 30 dollers per person. If you consider the excellent food/service and friendliness of the staff, it is quite a bargain.
PS. I checked the menu and did not see a baked potaot for 7 dollars.

I have been coming to the Outer Banks for 14 years and I finally can say that I have had the best meal in my life!. We normally would dine at JK's for Beef and Kelly's for Fish, however now we can go to Prime Only and get both. We were told by locals that it was the one of the best restaurants on the Beach but a bit pricey. AFter Dinner and drinks etc, it was no more expensive than JK's or Kellys. WE will be back!

We had a great experience at Prime only last night. The spinach salad was supurb. The steaks were mouth watering and the service was very friendly. My only complaint is that it cost $14 to add 4 shrimp to my 6oz Filet dinner. That, and the coffee wasn't strong enough and had a metalic taste. I would go again on special occasions and perhaps hold the shrimp. Appetizers and drinks are a good thought too. We were also fortunate enough to hear the fantastic live music of Matt McGuire. He will be signing a contract and moving to Nashville in a few weeks...so I'm glad we caught him before his big shot at fame! What a talent.

Food is ok, but I don't think i've ever had a potato that is worth 7 dollars. The wine list is excellent and the wine prices are great. I'd order the wine here and go get a steak at JK's. This would probably save you 100 bucks.

Our party of 6 all had the 6oz filet and everyone ate every bite of them. The resturant takes reservations which is good here. It is pricey and with a $20 bottle of wine our diner was over $100 ($50 each) after tip. I might go back, but not very often. I still like JK's for steaks here on the OBX.
