I try to go to the Red Drum every time is visit the area. This time I got one of the tuna specials and it was GREAT! We had a large party and the service was good.

We live close by and know the menu by heart. The specials are excellent also. We actually ate there last night for Susi's birthday but usually order take out and eat at home or around the pool. Excellent choices of beer and staff that are like family.

Never disappointed dining at the Red Drum. The food is always excellent and so is the service. Ton's of craft beer to choose from too. The Bleu Burger is to die for and the Mac and Cheese is off the charts!! My wife can't get enough of it. One of our favorite places to dine.

I ate there Aug. 15th.

The food was great, I had the tuna special that came with a skewer of shrimp. The piece of tuna was huge. My wife had flounder topped with crab meat. There was a lot of lump crab on there! We also had the calamari appetizer which was good too. The service was friendly and efficient.

We stay across the street from the Red Drum every spring, and we always have one dinner there. My favorite is the nachos appetizer which I usually get as a meal. This is a casual place with lots of TVs. The service is very good and the food is also. The rest of my family orders a variety of food and always like the meal. Can get noisy as the bar area and restaurant are not separated.

We ate lunch and dinner at the bar on two separate days last week. We had phenomenal, super-friendly service both times. The food was great. For dinner I had one of that night's specials - sesame encrusted tuna with a cucumber-mushroom 'slaw' (I think that's what they called it). Not only was it really, really good but along with it came an enormous serving of perfectly steamed sugar snap peas and julienned carrots. It was easily two meals worth.

They even whipped up a special dish for my dad, whose tastes run along more boring lines.

We will definitely return next year.

By far the best food i've had since i've been visiting obx and this is my 20th time going. The service is also great. The ribeye steak and the game fish burrito are excellent. I highly recommend you try this place.

This is one of those places that is a must visit for great food and service. I have been there many times over the years and it is always a favorite place to eat and drink at. Have tried most of the menu and have yet to be disappointed with the food or quality. The specials are always worth getting as well. One of the few places you can order Lindeman's off the tap. A great after dinner beer that is wonderful from the bottle but even better from the tap. Good place to take the family....or just hang out with friends at the bar. Good size bar for the size of the rest. Highly recommend this establishment!

We were in the outerbanks from 9/16/06 until 9/23/06. We always want to try somewhere we had not been to before and the Red Drum was our choice this year, we liked it so much we went twice. Great relaxed place, excellent selection of beers really good food and service. We had blackened tuna, steamed shrimp, fried scallops and the gamefish burrito, all were very good with ample portions. This place will be a regular stop on future visits.

We went here on our first night for seafood and were not disappointed. No wait but it was fairly well populated on a Monday night, might not be such a secret anymore. Great atmosphere, even a pool table/game area (quiet area, not coin-op games) for the kids.

Nice atmosphere and laid back enviroment. One of our favorite stops in our 22 years of trips to the outer banks. though you don't go to the shore for chicken wings, don't miss them they are the best... I crave them all year.
