This is a great place to eat. It is a no frills establishment with counter service. You order at the counter and your food is delivered to you fresh and hot. The burgers and fries were so good and they had fried okra! I don’t know how they make a profit because the prices are low. This is my new go to place from now on.

I really like this restaurant. It is a no frills place. You walk up to the counter to order. They bring you your food. The prices are low and they have a variety of choices, including fried okra (my favorite). The hamburgers and fries were very good and everyone was so nice. I plan to go back.

Spanky's has it all. Like my tittle says. Everything is perfect. First of all the owner and his employees are always so nice. The prices and portions are the best you can find at the beach. We feed our big eater family of 5 here for very little. I don't even think we can find a comparable in our local small town.

Best burgers in the area, and in my personal top list of any I've ever had. We really love this place, and recommend going. You won't be disappointed.

My teen sons and our friend's children love grabbing a quick burger from Spanky's. We ate here twice during our trip in May and both times had great food and it was very reasonably priced. Staff is friendly too.

Great local place, especially for lunch. The burgers are among the best on the Outer Banks. Plus, fast and friendly service. Try it you will like it.

We got the BBQ sandwich special and ecchhh.... I hate to give bad reviews but this stuff tasted exactly like the white tub of BBQ that is sold at Food Lion grocery store. I will go back again but would try something different - hot dog or burger maybe...

I eat here maybe 2-3 times a week for lunch. The $2 burger specials are a true value and the fries are done to perfection. I even like their catfish sandwich. One of my new favorites is the Reuben and the Wednesday cheese steak special is another favorite. Super friendly place with no frills at all, just good food at a good price.

The food is yummy, cheap, and they have loads of choices!
However, what I liked the best above all of that was the staff. Heard the owner on the phone telling a caller "We don't have that but you can find it here or here" giving referrals out to OTHER restaurants :) When I commented on the awesome customer service he took the time to tell me more about his business model; it was not only refreshing but really embodied the feeling I get at OBX :)

Stopped by Spanky's on a whim for lunch on check-in day and really enjoyed it. I had a delicious BBQ sandwich and was impressed when the owner came to our table to ask how our meal was. Nice little family friendly place.

Spanky's is family run and they obviously take pride in their business. Your food isn't cooked until you order it - no microwaved burgers or fries sitting under a heat lamp. We always go here several times when we visit the Outer Banks.

Looking for a great burger, good price and fast? Spanky's is the place in Kitty Hawk. They have a lot of good stuff on the menu and some daily specials like $2 foot longs and $2 burgers. Great fries and always a smile from owner Ben. Located just north of Jimmy's Buffet it is nothing fancy but good food at fair prices that won't break the bank. Great place to wait for your rental to be ready after your drive here.
