This restaurant used to be our favorite, but last year the lady who ran it for years retired. We decided to try the new folks this week. Its a shadow of its former self. My wife had shrimp and scallops, her favorite that she's gotten there many times. The shrimp were over cooked. We used to get hush puppies when we sat down. After quite a wait we finally got hush puppies but the were not good. Mashed sweet potatoes were on the menu, but they were out. The cole slaw was terrible. The service was not good. We have a beach house in Avon so we always eat here once or twice a year, but it will be awhile before we are back.

Great food - try the scallops! Service is quick, friendly and personable. Interior is quaint. One couldn't possibly leave still hungry.

We tried this place for lunch one day as it was suggested by the owners of The Old Grey House for a good place for an inexpensive lunch. We all ordered different lunch baskets which came with fries, hushpuppies, slaw, seafood and a drink for only 9.99! I had the crabcake, my daughter had the flounder and my husband had the oysters. Everything was delicious! I especially enjoyed the homemade tarter sauce and the hushpuppies. Service was friendly and great too. We will definitely go back.

We've been to all the restaurants in Avon several times, so we went to Buxton tonight to try this place. It was awesome! Kris had scallops & crab cake; I had the shrimp and the catch of the day (drum). It was just too good. Hush puppies to start and great service. We've got a new favorite restaurant on the island.

This restaurant is just great. A little back off the highway, so you might pass it without knowing it's there. Very nice interior, good service and great food and service.
